The Plandits

Eloise Hare and Peter Bottley at work adapting The Secret garden

Hello! We are Eloise and Peter, two actors who have been talking about putting on a show for a few years now, and this year we are finally doing it! We first met in 2017, touring the UK together and have many years of experience between us in touring theatre and outdoor productions. We are united in our love of literature, story telling and the adventure of travelling the country performing at amazing places!

Peter Bottley

Hello, I’m Peter, I’m 29 and from Cambridge - same as my tinder bio. I am one half of The Plandits. 3 years ago I said to Eloise, ‘We should do our own tour!’ She laughed and said, ‘Yeah, maybe when we’re 40.’ Last year having just finished a week covering Toad in The Wind In The Willows UK Tour with Quantum Theatre I again approached Eloise and said, ‘What if we actually did do this?’… and now here we are, show written, poster made, venues booked (and still booking) and a whole load of planning ahead of us. WHAT HAVE I DONE!

I trained at NYT and Fourth Monkey, and have toured with a few companies performing a variety of shows, including: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (UK Tour), Romeo and Juliet (Spain Tour), Macbeth (UK Schools Tour), The Reluctant Dragon (UK and Ireland Tour), The Wind In The Willows (UK Tour), The Tales of Peter Rabbit (UK Tour), A Christmas Carol (UK Tour), Jack and the Beanstalk (Spain Tour) and Tarzan (Spain Tour). Other Theatre credits include: Borrowed Time (Hen and Chickens Theatre, Islington), Moments (The Pleasance, London), The Ark/The Whale (Edinburgh Fringe). TV credits include: Ragdoll (AMC+), and I have a couple of advert credits to my name too, but still waiting for that all elusive silver screen credit!

Hi! I’m Eloise and I grew up in Norfolk. I’ve always loved performing, and over the last few years have realised how much I love making theatre too!  Last year, Peter came to me with the idea of writing and touring our own productions, and after an amazing first season in 2024 performing our adaptation of The Secret Garden, I’m so glad I said yes! We’ve now roped my husband, Tom, into joining us on this adventure, and I couldn’t think of a better team to be going into our second season with.

I trained at Trinity Laban and since graduating in 2015, I’ve worked in a wide range of theatre productions across the UK. I first realised my love of Open Air Theatre in ‘The Reluctant Dragon’ with Quantum Theatre in 2018 and have since toured the UK with open air productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Quantum Theatre), The Great Gatsby, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Murder (Heartbreak Productions) and The Jabberwocky (Calf2Cow). My further performing credits include There’s a Monster in your Show (MEI Theatrical, UK Tour), Cinderella (Gorleston Pavilion), D-Day Dollies (Mini Concerts), Cinderella (Bedford Corn Exchange), The Pied Piper (Redbridge Drama Centre), Attagirls (Theatre on the Coast), The Wild Ride (Slow Theatre Company) and Jack and the Beanstalk (Novello Theatre). I have also worked on independent film projects, commercial videos, Theatre in Education tours and modelling campaigns. I love being outdoors, playing the accordion, swimming in the sea and dancing.

I feel so proud of what we achieved with our production of The Secret Garden in 2024. Being such a small team, creating every aspect of the show was a very big job for us! All the work we put into writing the script, the music, building and painting the set, making the puppets and organising and marketing a 25 venue tour across 12 counties all felt so worthwhile when we were sharing everything we created with our amazing audiences. I’m so excited to be writing a brand new musical with the team and can’t wait to bring The Big Bad Wolf to audiences this summer!
